Summer, So Far, in a Nutshell

Hmm, so besides my inner mind workings, what has my family been up to?  Well ...

Anna painted herself into a zebra... with a beauty mark. (permanent marker- this was one her for days)

FINALLY got a family pic in front of the Oakland temple.  Thanks to the sweet girl who let Eli borrow her sunglasses so the sun wasn't in his eyes... and for taking the picture.

Grandma and Grandpa came with gifts and stellar story telling skills.
We went to the tide pools and saw the sea critters

Some of us were more interested in the rocks... go figure.

Got buried in the sand.

Thoroughly tired out the grandparents.

Went to Muir Woods (never gets old)

Saw a two headed turtle

Brushed the goats

Stared at goats

warmed up to the goats

Leaned computer skills
Basked in the patio sun and pondered the meaning of toddler life.

Cheesed it up for the camera (that's Eli's shirt that doesn't have sleeves... it's a favorite)

I made last minute fourth of July earrings to amp up the festivities.

saw the fireworks.. with popcorn even.

Saw the train museum in Sacramento

became super heroes who, frankly, need to hire a better tailor.

Well, summer is almost over.  It's a little sad, a little glad, but mostly sad.  It's been fun.  We hope yours has been the same.  The only thing that gets me excited for school is ... the HOLIDAYS.  Yes!  Aaron gets to laugh at my excitement for each holiday up until Easter and then he gets a break until the 4th of July... that is unless I decide to celebrate Cinco de Mayo etc.

Fun festivities! Completely jealous you're so close to the ocean :). Looks like your July has been eventful!

Very fun and eventful summer. Love the pictures. So sad that Anna does not look like a 'baby' so much anymore, but more of a toddler.
And BTW, sunscreen will help take permanent marker off of tender toddler skin. :) - for next time...
Miss you guys!

Cute! As for Anna staring at goats, she may be developing her goat staring skills so that she can kill them (Men Who Stare at Goats). I only saw part of that movie but it did crack me up.
