Ode To A Car

Okay, so I'm not much of a poet, but if I was, it would be an ode.

Our little car (the one that we got after Petey committed suicide) has been "in hospital" for the last three weeks! Such a nice zippy car and without it, there was much trouble. Shopping trips were for meal only ingredients. While it was an inconvenience, it was nice to not have to worry about visitor parking when Lynsie and Mike came to visit.

Well, FINALLY, our car was finished today and I felt an overwhelming sense of relaxation and gratitude for having a car. I know there are a lot of people who live without a car and are fine. I'm not one of those people. I'm grateful for our little car and extra grateful that it's transmission went out BEFORE the warranty expired.

A special thanks to all those who drove us to and from the rental car company, to church, to stores and to doctor's appointments. We appreciate all you do and DON'T hesitate to call on us if you ever need anything at all.

As for Lynsie and Mike's visit... You'll have to wait until I can do it full justice with pictures and such. SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!! I miss them already! Eli give's you bones with explosions.

I'd give Eli bones with explosions back but I'm still sad that he wouldn't say my name, so instead, tell him I'm sticking my fingers in my ears. As for Mike, he's still gloating that Eli likes him better than me. We miss you guys already. Mike wishes we had permanent game-players living with us so that we could play games every night! I'm glad you got your car back.

I'm so glad that the car is fixed. What a pain the last three weeks must have been for you guys, that sucks! Good thing you have good neighbors/ward members that makes a huge difference!!! Miss you love you!!!

Carrie, thank you for your sweet little comments on my blog. I am so glad y'all have your car back. It's amazing how often we take our luxuries like that for granted. You are wonderful and I hope things continue to go well with your family!
