Book Box

Hee hee, WARNING: the finished product is NOT pictured in this blog due to time constraints and forgetfulness on the author's part to recharge her camera batteries (gosh, we have three, you'd think ONE of them was charged!)

For those of you who remember this, you also know that I was also making a book box to go along with it. This is the documentation of that procedure.

I forgot to take pictures a lot of the time, so sorry if it's not very detailed.

This is the "item tray" where the book will sit.

This is the top tray

this is the HUGE, LONG strip of clothe needed to cover the tray.

When you glue the tray to the fabric, you have to be sure you glue the correct side first because you Roll the tray across the fabric.

Covering a tray is pretty intricate and you have to make precise cuts and glue in a specific order. I did a lot of rereading of my instructions.

This is the finished outer tray and how the two trays will fit together.

When I recharge my batteries you will see the making of the outer box shell, BUT I never did get pics of the finished product. Sorry, but the wedding is in two weeks so I had to mail the book. Maybe another time. ;)

Ah ha hah- that is just TORTURE! Cool we get to see the process, but never the finished project? However, what we did get to see was absolutely amazing and I really liked it. Hope you had fun doing it too!
