Second Battle Fought

Well, today has held several interesting experiences for us. First of all, without further ado, we finally applied for health insurance! Yeah!!! Now we will have the means to maybe. . . well, lets just say that we made sure it had a maternity component. I don't know if it would be a good idea for me to be pregnant right now because my internship is keeping me pretty much in stress mode.
We also got a couch! Also a yippee moment. It's been a long time since we've been able to sit like this. It's nice not to have to take turns with the lazy boy. We will probably be more
likely to invite people over too, since they'll actually have a place to sit. Anyway, it's really funny because in the store, the couch looked like this light shade of green. Once we got it in our apartment, though, it looks brown. Another funny thing is, when we were at U-Haul getting the truck another couple from our apartment complex was there getting a truck to move to another building. Why? Well, let's just say it's because of the fury little brown creatures that are plaguing our existence! They are not changing complexes, just going to another building where they are not having mouse problems. That brings me to the second installment in the battle with the house mouse/mice.
Well, when there's one, there's five others. Well, I wish that wasn't true because if we have five mice like this one, I'll never be right in the head again! It all started when we were both working on our perspective assignments. I heard some rustling in the kitchen but we couldn't find the mouse. A while later, it ran right across the entrance to the kitchen and under the stove. Well, there wasn't much we could do more than we had already done, so we left it and continued our tasks. After settling down on our new couch to watch a movie, the mouse made a dash for our TV center again. After the failure last time, we weren't going to lose again. So we got ready and we lifted up the TV center and Aaron put a box over the mouse. Now I don't know what happened but the mouse got out from under the box and beelined it for the closet! For the next five minutes we pushed the mouse from one side of the closet to the other and in between the doors. While getting glue boards to block certain paths, the mouse got out and hid behind one of the chairs. Then it ran under my back pack! Oh, I was an amazing broomer today, but to no avail. It got away from us and under the stove. Now we have it hedged into the stove area as much as we can, but the mouse has officially won this particular battle. Hopefully next time we will win!!

Hi Carrie!!
Mice!
You know, we had a nastly little rodent of our own about a month ago. Fortunately, I never saw it. Ryan saw it, Ryan bought and set the mouse trap for it, Ryan found it in the mouse trap, and Ryan got rid of it.
Husbands are the best. ^_^
Congrats on your couch! It's nice to have somewhere to sit. And we just applied for health insurance too, ouch ouch ouch, it's expensive! But oh well, it's good to have in case of, uh, accidents ^_^ See ya!
