It's a Grand Life

Last Sunday, Aaron came home from Canada! Yippee for me! I missed him a ton. When I first got to the airport his flight status wasn't on the board but it had the baggage claim number. Figuring he had already arrived, I thought I'd see him right in the claim area. He wasn't there but it said his flight on the claim's marque. I waited and waited. I started getting worried that he had missed his flight. I looked out on the curbside to see if he thought I'd pick him up there, but no luck. I was getting a little bit anxious and frustrated because I didn't know what was going on. After about 20 minutes, he came down. His flight was late. Then, we found out his luggage had been lost. What joys that brings! Are any of you surprised by how many bags the airports are losing now a days? It's weird. Well, even though it was a frustrating time, I'm glad he's home! Life's no fun without him.

Today we made a milestone in our marriage! We finally finished the Book of Mormon for the first time since we got married! I know, it wasn't in under a year, but we were diligent. What a wonderful book that will keep your family close (along with family home evening). Really, unless you never talk about what you read, there will definitely be gospel discussion.

Only two weeks left in this rotation of my internship. I'm worried I won't get everything done. It's been fun and quite an experience. After this is the children's hospital (hopefully, I haven't heard from them in a while) for my food service rotation. I feel more comfortable in that area than in community but that's probably because almost every job I've had has been with food service. I do like my community rotation and my preceptor is a magician in finding amazing deals on food. Seriously. He got Aaron and I 10 pounds of blue berries for a fraction of the price you pay at grocery stores. He also showed me this place where you can get all the whole grain bread you want for only a one dollar donation! That find has really helped Aaron and I get more fiber in our diets. Whole grain breads are expensive! Anyway, I also like teaching classes. Sometimes I get flustered, of course, but over all I enjoy it. It's really different teaching with an interpreter though. That was the hardest because you never know what really got across during translation. Well, now that I've bored you to death have a great weekend.
