It just occurred to me that my blog is becoming somewhat like my journal, which Aaron says is depressing. Sorry, it's an unfortunate coincidence that when I'm down, writing helps me get my thoughts in order- hence the prevalence of sad entries. That and the fact that I seem to be a little over dramatic and my entries seem to give off the essence of despair. Maybe I should write a "series of unfortunate events" type book. maybe I'd make it big!
Anyway, given the emotion filled move (and believe me, it's been emotional) I thought I should write about something happy, which is NOT that my space key is messed up and won't work half the time.
We do have a lot to be grateful for. Our friends from DC are moving to Monterey in January. Hopefully that hasn't changed and it IS an hour away from us, BUT I'm still super excited to see them again!
Eli just turned four and is seriously a handsome kid. Good thing, because I can't get his hair to do anything. Sometimes his crazy hair is from me needing to cut it, but most of the time it's just that I CANNOT get it to style! Any secrets would be nice, so far neither gel nor pump hairspray works. Is aerosol better? Pomade (should he be a "dapper dan" man)? He's learning to write his name and he LOVES the horizontal lines to his E. At least I think he does since more often than not his E's have 5 or 6 horizontal lines instead of 3. He loves to make up his own songs and often sings about what his is currently doing. We still have some issues to iron out with what is proper behavior in public and how we treat people, but he's a good kid.
Anna is my sunshine! Her goofy grin, her singing "Give said the little stream" (at least that's what I assume she's singing), her constantly lifting up my shirt to see my belly button and then lifting up her own pudgy belly to try and find hers. She makes me smile. She looks 100% like her daddy's family and even though his sisters also have wavy/curly hair, I'm taking full credit for that. That curl is MINE! She's SO close to walking. She'll stand in the middle of the room and primp her hair or watch Eli with his remote control monster truck. She won't take any steps though. She loves shoes and clothes and taking things out of drawers.
I also have the best friends who've watched Eli and Anna while I take loads of boxes to our new place. It's so much nicer unloading a car without having to worry about kids fighting, crying, or crawling right in your wake so you are constantly worried you'll step on or trip over them.
I turn 30 soon. Maybe that's not too happy, BUT I won't have to think about it because I'll be moving! Haha!
Well, hopefully that's considered a happy post.

Your kids ARE cute! I have the same problem with not being able to style Grant's hair. I was told to use pomade, but I haven't yet. So maybe we should both try it and see if it works! I love that Anna primps her hair so cute! Miss you guys! I hope you're feeling better (emotionally)! Call me if you need to talk!
