Yesterday, after painting, coloring, going on a bike ride to the park, and then riding to the store to get a special snack, we came home to eat our snack and wait for lunch and the auto repair place to call with news on what was happening.
At one point he asked me to sing the bus song. So I sang it adding a line for himself. That elated him to the nth degree and it was requested over and over again making sure the 'Edi' line as part of the song.
Later, I noticed the pan of corn bread was suddenly empty. I was so sure that there had been some just moments before. I looked below an open drawer and sure enough, there Eli sat with a giant chunk of corn bread in his hand. I guess he was still hungry after eating his dinner. He kindly obliged when I asked if he would share it with me, which was fortunate as his later turned into crumb art on my sofa. I would have taken a picture if I could located the camera in time.
Last night was a girl's night. I so anticipate these! I love the ladies in my ward and since I'm in primary, it is a great way for me to meet and get to know the new ladies. I left just as Aaron was putting Eli to bed and upon leaving I saw Eli standing at his window wiping huge tears from his eyes. It broke my heart and I nearly gave up my plans if Aaron hadn't waved goodbye. Needless to say, before I went to bed, I made sure to sneak in and give my boy a kiss.
It was a very fun day.

What a sweet day filled with sweet moments! I do a line about Grant when I sing the Wheels on the Bus too and he LOVES it too. So cute!
I loved this post :). It seriously makes me look forward to the days when Emmy and I can actually communicate with words and not pointing. Yesterday at church, I took Emmy from my mom to go and change her diaper. However...she ending up screaming and crying as I left the chapel while reaching for her Grammy. Hopefully, someday...she'll scream and cry for me :). Then I'll know she really loves me!
Sounds like a nice day! Those always help:)
Yay for girls night out!
So cute! Eli really is a sweety. If it makes you feel better Svea gets into just as much trouble. I had the exact thing happen with my cornbread that I made for dinner too. lol. They really ARE related. :)
