"Stop Messing around!"
"Yeah, get the goods, sister"
My life very much resembles a musical. We "periodically dance about and break into song". It's always been that way. Added to that is the random movie lines that frequently cross my mind during life's situations.
The goods in life are as follows.
A thoroughly enjoyed a hour long Joann Fabric's trip in search of lovely findings for Christmas gifts. All this without a crying boy because Aaron was home from work.
Sees Candy's chocolates. Not only what I bought BUT the FOUR extra samples they gave me just because... SCORE!!
There is somewhat a transition of Good to Not So Good. That is the planning of vacations for August and September.
Good= VACATION! Who can say no to seeing family and going somewhere you've never been?
Not So Good= trying to figure out who to keep a 2 year old entertained on a 12 hour drive and a 17 hour flight.
Not So Good
Moving... UGH!!! We've moved 5 times already in the four years we've been married. This is our sixth. I'm ready to stay put. All the de-cluttering that comes from moving is not worth it. I'll just have to do a better job spring cleaning.
Finding a place to move. Okay all you friends and family in Utah. You can complain about your $600/month two bedroom apartments and such all you want. You don't know expensive until you are looking at between $1500-2000/month and some places do not have washer/dryers in those places. Income may be higher here but not two to three times higher! I hate looking for places to move almost as much as moving. Having to check out the neighborhood and possibly the school district (now that we have Eli). Figuring out how the new commute will look for Aaron and dreading the fact that while public transportation is the best option for us right now, it will add a good hour commute on already long work days.
Moving to a more affluent area. Okay so this is good and bad. Good in the safety issue, bad in that I'll have to swallow my thrifty nature and pay super market prices on groceries. There are no Food For Less type stores down where we are moving and my whole grocery pricing system is going to be out of whack. Hopefully the Walmart down there is a SuperWalmart.
Leaving a whole new set of friends. Maybe I should have just taken Aaron's advice and not spoken to anyone in our new ward ;) It would have made it easier to move away. Just so everyone knows, Aaron was teasing when he suggested that.
...and We're Back!

Moving is hard. And I hear on your the horribly high rent prices! Salaries don't always reflect the higher cost of living -- especially when you're living on one salary, instead of two. Good luck! The moving around can't last forever (I hope!) -- you'll get settled before you know it. Love you, dear!
Just move back to Utah! The prices are cheaper, there is family and friends! Ha! Hope you enjoyed your lunch with Eli today. I was so close to going to Panda to get the walnut shrimp after you mentioned it but alas, I knew it would be bad for my diet and for our budget! Love you! (and seriously, just move back to Utah).
Yes-just move back already:) You know it is the only option down the road!!
All that moving sounds stressfull and we don't envy the prices out there for Rent. I hope you find a dollar store somewhere at your new place.
I'm sorry about having to move, that really does suck. Hopefully you will be able to stay put for a little longer this time. I hope you find a good place!!
Ha ha I tried the "no speaking to anyone" tactic the first time I moved. I was 12 and terrified. It didn't work, as you know; we need people. You will make friends very easily, as you did here. And we'll still be around if you ever need us. Hey we gotta keep using those Six Flags passes, right?
I didn't know grocery shopping was going to be harder. I really am grateful for the sale ads, Grocery Outlet and Food Maxx. Hopefully you'll have a good Target or Walmart.
