Eli is my "Goose". Short for "Silly Goose". Aaron insists that he is a gander which is technically correct, but "Goose" is easier to say. Here's what Eli has done lately to earn that oh so endearing term:
He has the cutest scrunched up smile face. I have yet to catch it on camera but it makes me laugh every time.
He will pinch his nose and make snorting sounds. I don't know why or who he got this from. The only thing Aaron and I can think of is he sees people blowing their noses and sees them pinching their nose and making a funny noise.
He spins in circles now. It's really funny when he spins around a few times and then tries to walk somewhere else. It looks VERY much like a goose trying to run away!
He will try to explore our mouths. This no doubt comes from my exploring his mouth to see if teeth have finally cut through or to remove any crayon or other taboo item from his mouth.
His current favorite play time is a box of packing peanuts (from Aaron's computer). He'll climb in and sit there forever. He will also throw things into the box. I think he likes that things "disappear" into the abyss of peanuts. Needless to say that when we are looking for something, it's most likely in the box.
He also loves to empty my mixing bowl cupboard, crawl inside and play peek-a-boo with me while I'm cooking dinner. That's my Goose.
Along with the silly things, he is the cutest little kid ever.
He's learned to "blow" kisses (he covers his mouth with his hand and blows). He also will randomly come up, pat my leg and want a kiss. It's so sweet!
He'll come grab my hand when he wants me to go somewhere with him.
He knows where his nose and bellybutton are, what sounds several animals make, and has learned how to fake laugh.
He is such a wonderful and indispensable part of our lives. While I'm praying that some phases go away soon (i.e. his ear piercing scream when he doesn't get his way... seriously... just ask the other mom's out here), I'm grateful everyday for this little "Goose" in our gaggle.

He is SO cute!!! And I love the little stories about what he does now. I can't believe how fast they grow!
Awwww- that is SUPER cute! What fun characteristics to remember!!! I sure hope Gracie gets to meet him when they're older because I know he's going to be such a stud!
I love those little individual things kids do when they're so young; they are so fun to remember, and so darn cute. Good luck getting a pic of that face!
He is adorable! I am constantly calling Elise a Silly Goose. The snorting nose thing sounds hilarious:)
Ha...he is a hoot. I can't wait to see him and you and Aaron of course, in 49 days (depending on when we leave)!
What I love most about this post (besides the adoreable picture of Eli at the beginning) is the fact that I can totally hear your cute voice in my head saying "Eli you goose!" Haha! I LOVE it!
Very cute! I miss you guys!
