First Haircut and Sharing Fruit

On Sunday I looked at Eli and finally admitted he needed a haircut. Eli's hair grows in an interesting way. The hair at the crown, forehead and nape of the neck don't seem to grow (or not very fast). Eli's hair seems to grow from the cowlick out making his head look like it had a little toupee on top (okay not that bad).

Well, I decided to cut his hair myself instead of worrying about the cost. So Monday night, I gave Eli a lollipop in order to bribe him and hopefully keep him still. I put him in his booster seat strapped him in, put the longest guard on Aaron's hair clippers and started. The sound didn't scare him, but the moment I touched his head, he screamed bloody murder and squirmed every which way. I'm very glad I had the guard. After a while I called it good enough and saved my child from my subjection to "keeping up appearances". I still notice a few long hairs and will have to make another pass at him before we take family pictures. Oh, the scarring this child is going to have.

On another note, Eli is very good at sharing. He tries to get Aaron or me to take a bite of a half eaten cracker or a mushed banana. Although this is extremely disgusting, it's still cute. Eli will also come up to us to get bites of our fruit. My lunches usually contain an apple or banana and, even after he's supposedly done with his lunch, Eli will come up with his mouth wide open for a bite of my apple. I don't mind sharing my fruit. This child is so fickle with his eating habits that I'll share anything with him.

wow... I fear the day that Jude starts to get his hair cut. That child is a wiggle-wart. I'm so impressed you did it yourself! Look at you go! And the sharing is definitely cute!

Is he a picky eater? Or just doesn't eat consistent portions, or at consistent timetables?

He is darling! Hooray for you trying to cut his hair. I'm going to try to cut Jason's this week, and am very nervous!!! I'm sure you two will get the hang of it eventually! I'm all about saving the money too!

I wish you took a picture of the BEFORE and AFTER his hair cut!! Next time you'll have to. That is so cute that he likes to share his disgusting slobber covered half eaten food with you. What a cute guy, can't wait to see him next week!!!!
