The Whirl Wind that is Our Lives

Part one: Preliminaries and College Nostalgia (warning: no pics are included due to time constraints)

So I was going to wait, but posting now will prevent a ginormous blog later.
Our household is a whirlwind right now. It makes me grateful for the support system I have in my family and friends. However, poor Eli having his world turned on end is going to take a while to get over.

Mid August we went on one of my favorite trips ever, Yellowstone! We went last year, but as I was 8 months pregnant I wasn't able to do a lot of what I wanted to do. So, this year I went in with a purpose.

We have to start from the beginning though. This vacation didn't begin in Yellowstone. When we got to Utah, we went to BYU's open practice. I think that made Aaron's entire year, if not his life. As luck would have it, I ran into my cousin and her husband there. They are moving to ALASKA so it was great to see you Debby and RD (and kids).

After the practice we walked around our old stomping grounds and reminisced about our college years. Wow, the nostalgia was thick and I felt so OLD! I miss that campus and all that learning that went on there. Sometimes it's sad to grow up!

After our trip down memory lane we visited with Aaron's grandparents and his Aunt and Uncle who just moved from New York. I'm really excited about that because that means we will definitely get to know them better!

The Sunday after we got to Utah, my nephew was blessed. Such a cutie, even cuter in real life (now that I know). I was itching to meet this little guy and he is so sweet. My sister and her husband are cute parent. It's fun to watch your siblings have kids.

On the way to Yellowstone we stopped in Rexburg for lunch and we called up Aaron's brother and his wife to come join us. We then stayed behind with them to wait for my parents (who were coming up later). They all indulged me by walking around BYU-I campus which is another old stomping ground for me. I loved it! I'd only been back once since I graduated and it's changed so much. Thanks Andrew and Taylor for letting me see again what used to be a huge part of my life.

Stay tuned for part two: Yellowstone: The Great Vacation
