Going Mobile

Getting Eli ready in the morning used to be so easy. Making silly faces at him while I slipped his arms through onsies and blowing on his belly before I snapped them up were the activities of the daily preparation. Today, however, that changed. The diaper wipes bag, with all it's crinkly charm, is more interesting than Mommy and clothes are so over rated when there are toys that haven't been slobbered on today.

Getting dressed today was trying to keep Eli in one place.

Diaper off
Roll over
"Eli, roll back over so I can put this diaper on you"......"I hope that's on well enough."

Onsie ready
Roll over
"Come back here so I can get your clothes on." (pulling a very reluctant child back onto his back.)

I think I ended up sitting him in my lap to be dressed. It's such a fun stage, but sometimes I miss my little baby who was content to lay in my arms while we stare adoringly into each others eyes and coo.

Just wait until he's actually crawling...or walking...or those toddler years. I've had to get creative when getting Garrett dressed.

I love it Carrie. They are so much fun though when they start to move! They start to get a personality which can be fun. It is nice to see that you are doing well. I love looking at your blog.

That is so cute!!! You need to post some pictures of him since he is almost 6 months now, and the last time I saw him he was only 3 months. I can't wait to see you guys at the end of the month!

Stare adoringly into each others eyes? Have you been reading some romantic novel...that deals with mothers and babies because that line kind of freaked me out. I'm sure you adore your son, no doubt about that, but the line just seemed weird. HAHAHA...Love you Carrie! Can't wait to see you in 2 weeks!
