Sometimes the ups out number the downs. . .

. . . but not in Knottingham. Well, life is a crazy arena of mixed ups and downs isn't it? Where should I start, the ups or the downs? Downs? Okay, that way we will be uplifted by the ups. Well, for those of you who hate complainers, you shouldn't read blogs and you can stop reading mine for all I care (unless you're a friend, then I'm sorry and be patient).
Well, as some know, I'm enrolled in a distance internship. What this means is that I have to set up all my own rotations. Not something I wanted, but sometimes we don't get what we want do we? So at the beginning of the summer I had had a terrible time getting these internship rotations set up. I was stressed out and poor Aaron was wondering if his wife was going to go prematurely insane (because you get insanity from your kids I'm bound to have it some day). Well, blessings come and I got three places to allow me to come. I started with my community nutrition rotation and I really enjoyed it. About half way through I hadn't heard anything from my next preceptor and when she didn't answer my emails I called her office and found out she didn't work there anymore. Of course she didn't fill in her replacement on the situation either. So I am spending the next few weeks trying to figure out if they will be able to let me do my rotation there still. If not, it's back to the drawing board, which I don't know would be a bad thing after meeting with them today. They just weren't as personable as my last preceptor. Either way though, I'm almost definitely sure I won't get to go home early for Christmas! So sad especially since I've been nostalgic for it for a while now.

Now that the downs are out there, there are some ups too. Yeah!!! for saving blessings. I finally have health insurance (I think I mentioned that last time but still very exciting)! I'm done with one of my rotations and my preceptor was awesome! It's nice to know you made a difference somewhere. I ordered the twilight series to read between rotations (hooray for pleasure reads)! I am getting completely and utterly spoiled by my husband. Really, if he treats our kids the same way he does me, they will be ruined forever. I'm trying to teach him how to discipline. So, all in all things are okay with stress.

Carrie, I am sending lots of hugs and hope your new rotation goes well. We'll cross our fingers. Crazy times!! Someday things will calm down. I remember when I use to go to college full-time and work two jobs for a semester or two, I look back and wonder how in the world I got through, but somehow I survived with my insanity still intact. Just keep smiling, and take advantage of the spoiling form your hubby!!!

Sorry about your internship troubles; that's no fun.

Oh, and I'm planning to reply to your email soon. :)
