As summer gets into full swing, we are turning into little busy bees! Aaron started his internship this last Tuesday and he looks absolutely amazing in a suit everyday! As for me, I'm buried head deep in my internship paperwork. The deadline is fast approaching and I hadn't had any luck with anything until the last week. Luckily I was given an extension on my papers so I'm a teensy weensy bit easier about the whole thing. It's amazing what a blessing, prayers and the very smallest (and I mean smallest) amount of faith will do.
Today I went to a community day with some other ladies in our ward. We spent time stamping paper for the Father's Day gift to the dad's in our ward. All I have to say is that I'm so grateful for our ward. I was given the assignment for the Father's Day gift and I had no clue what to do. Everyone told me what was usually done and with all the scrap-bookers they were really cute. I am NOT a scrap booker, so I was hard up on what I was going to do in such a short period of time with everything else on my plate. Well, these sweet ladies jumped right in with the most creative stuff! I'm just so grateful! Anyway, to the point of my story, I think I got my very first genuine farmer's tan. Aaron and I both laughed at the stark line marking my neckline and sleeve cut-offs! I know, you're thinking that last summer I would have gotten one too, but I worked in side for ten hours a day. I didn't get that much sun. Plus, I think with the humidity it allows the sun to penetrate more (or something) because it didn't take very long and it's dark. I would attach a picture, but we don't have one. Anyway, we'll see if we get any good laughs from others when we go to the pool?
We'll, in our last post, I told you we got lost with our GPS system and ended up in the back woods in the middle of the West Virginia woods. Well, I thought I'd include a picture of the welcoming committee that met us at the top of the supposed Maryland Highest Point (see pic above). Yep, I know this is a less exciting post but there you have it. Sometimes a week is either so busy or so dull that there's really nothing to say. Oh, one thing, a petition was signed that mice should not be allowed into our apartments. Hopefully they will be evicted soon. Though I think in there little world, our apartment is the apartment of death. We haven't had one in a few weeks (knock on wood). I hope they are all moved to a nice little place outside away from homes.
I hope you all saw the national spelling bee. It was crazy! I loved how the winner didn't even like the bee and when asked if winning had changed how he thought about it he asked, "Am I supposed to like it better, or something?" Way to stick to your guns against persuasion!

I love your SiteMeter and got one myself - thanks for the inspiration! I'm looking for father's day ideas. Did you happen to take any pictures of what you made?
