It might be that we're finally getting a break from a week of rain, or because my morning sickness is letting up just a bit and I'm FINALLY getting some energy and motivation, but spring has suddenly brought the NEED for the renewing upheaval that is spring cleaning.
Now, when I clean, I CLEAN! Which is probably why our apartment looks so cluttered other times (I'm so worn out from the big clean that I figure it will last a year... right? It SHOULD anyway.)
So, today, I headed to the dollar store to get cleaning supplies. I've made my list of things to do in each room and I'm hoping to get done in about 2 weeks. It could be done in a week if I did a room a day, but I'll probably need a couple rest days for motivation to continue.
While I love being de-cluttered, organized and fresh, I don't like the aches and rawness I get from scrubbing, vacuuming, moving and sorting. I also hate the overwhelming feeling of too much clutter and the, "We've kept this HOW long?"
Then again, the hoarder in me says, "It's sentimental" about every card ever given. Where do you draw the line of keeping a Christmas card or throwing it away?
Wish me motivation and endurance and for all of you who are also in the BIG SPRING CLEAN mode, happy cleaning!

I hear you. I have the hardest time throwing things away! I keep thinking I will need it at some later date. Thanks for the inspiration.
Morning sickness??? ARe you PREGNANT? Did I miss something?
I think the Armstrong's are good pack rats! Seriously, it's hard to get rid of stuff. I still to this day can't understand why it is SO hard for me to get rid of a shirt that I have NOT worn for years! Good luck with the Spring Cleaning. I need to find the motivation to do it at my house as well.
I am glad you are feeling better! Get outside and enjoy the weather! We are getting snow here in Utah!
Love you guys!
Good luck Carrie!!! I am going to try and clean too! I agree with you, how do you know when and what cards to throw away?!! Good luck and I hope your morning sickness goes away! We are SOOOOOO excited for another neice or nephew :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah...I start my Spring Cleaning today. I intend to get rid of half of the things in our house. What a way to spend Spring Break!
I feel for you. It is SO very hard to spring clean or even just clean when you are feeling yucky.
And those christmas cards . . . I have the same problem. I keep my favorites and tape them on our door for the next christmas, but it is just plain hard to throw things away:)
good luck.
Good luck carrie,
I always keep the most recent christmas card. This way I have the most recent address. you should get "Clutter's last stand" from the library. It was hilarious and I got way better at determining what to get rid of.
