Our Jumper

I wish I had pictures, but I don't. Thanks for putting up without them.

Eli is our jumper. He jumps ON his bed, our bed (his favorite), the couch.

He jumps OFF his bed rails, his diaper pail, the couch, his toy box.

ANYTHING he can.

Of course Aaron's Dad has a great suggestion for stopping the jumping...

A jumping bed. I've heard a lot about the jumping bed. A favorite past time among the kids.
An old mattress condemned (for the sake of the rest of the house) to endure the jumping and abuse of the kids.

I wish we had one now. I wish we had the space. Oh jumping bed fairy, come to our house someday!

Save my little boy from himself.

I have nightmares and day-mares about him jumping and hurting himself. My sister (I don't know if she was jumping or not but whether it's a jump or a fall, it can still happen) nearly ripped her ear off when she was little. I cringe just thinking about it. My dad said he thought someone had murdered his family when he walked into the house that day to not receive an answer to his calls (because we were all at the emergency room) and found massive amounts of blood on the floor.

I'm PRAYING that doesn't happen to us.

ha ha, Carrie! Don't worry, Benny jumps, too, and has fallen multiple times. Who can blame them? You know you jumped on the bed when you were little.
Cna't wait to see your family pics!

Oh I'm sorry. Grant doesn't really know how to jump YET, but I'm sure he'll be doing the same thing once he learns how. He's a climber. I'm sure Eli was too at one point. He climbs up EVERYTHING. Good luck, I hope nothing happens to him like what happened to me. Although it did my Halloween costume that year even better with a bandage wrapped all around my head.

I do wonder what it is with kids and jumping. It seems they all have that inner desire to climb up on things and jump.

When I was little, my parents left my brother in charge of babysitting me while they went out and did something important. Bad idea. I started jumping from our big orange lazy boy chair over the brick fireplace hearth to our other equally orange couch. During one of my jumps however...I missed and landed on my head on the brick hearth. I cracked my head open. My twelve year old brother didn't know what to do...so he put me in the bathtub until my parents got home.

Sorry to tell you that story...I guess I shouldn't have because you're worried about Eli. Good luck! Maybe you should just take all of your mattresses and put them directly on the floor...just a thought :)

Grandpa stonehocker must know what they are talking about! Growing up with all those boys I wonder how any of them made it out alive. it give me hope with only one that there is a good chance. But I totally understand. I think I might have to have the jumping fairy come to our house.

I hope he is safe with all his jumping. We use to pull off Elise's mattress and let her jump in the frontroom. We tried it again once Haylee was in that phase-but have now retired the extra matress in the attic. . . just too stressful.

Good luck. and pictures would be fun:)
