Who is this Child?!

Sometimes I wonder what alien life form has come and taken over the body of my sweet little boy. Especially during tantrums. Today has been especially bad in that area. However, thanks to friends, a trip to the park made it a little more manageable than it would be in the confines of our little apartment. These days remind me why I enforce nap time even if it means Eli crying in his crib for 45 minutes before falling asleep. I need my sanity and all my wits to patiently deal with spastic and screaming ETs. Fortunately the park wore him out so much that he slept like an angel. Another plus to naps. You can watch their faces turn from impish to angelic in seconds.

ha ha ha. I've been feeling the same about Svea lately. In our last ward her nickname was perfect baby. NO MORE. ahhhh I think in some children the terrible twos really hit at 18 months old. Then when the terrible two's REALLY hit at 2 we are a little better prepared for it. Svea has discovered teasing. She teasingly pulls my hair, whips off my glasses, licks our arms and runs out into the road 25 times in a row within 30 mins. Makes you want to have 10 more kids eh?

I agree that it is truly amazing when you have such a grumpy child and then when they fall asleep you forget all about their grumpiness and you just want to hug and snuggle them.

Oh I am so glad that trip to the park came at the perfect time! Let me know if you ever need a break. Benny is always up for someone to play with. And Mommy time is sooo important I am finding!

oh-I FEEL the agony. How sanity is a very fine line at nap times. Hopefully it gets better. I love Kenny loggins Return to Pooh Corner or Disney's Lullaby music CD's to calm the mood before naps. I used it for Elise, but should try it with Haylee. Books help too just before nap time if you haven't already tried that route . . . good luck. We still dont' have it down perfect
