Sunday Blast

Today has been an amazing day! It was Stake Conference so we had an extra hour this morning in which I made German "Monster" pancakes with strawberries for breakfast. Yummy!

The actual conference was amazing! Elder Che and President Jensen from the Seventy were there and they gave wonderful and inspiring talks. I really enjoyed listening to Elder Che. He was very enthusiastic and funny.

After church we went to a party to say goodbye to one of our friends who is leaving for Iraq on Tuesday. It was great because they were part of our ward that got split off in the change so we got to see a lot of people who used to be in our ward and who we miss dearly. Eli enjoyed everything and was REALLY inthrauled with Bella the italian greyhound. (Thanks Brother Crouse for the pictures...we forgot our camera yet again).

The crowning glory of our day was the debut of our little nephew, Grant Jamison (last name omitted)! My sister had her baby and I'm so very excited for her! I felt the smallest twinge of jealousy that they are at the beginning of parenthood. I miss my baby being so small sometimes. He's so fun now, but I miss the tiny baby that fit so perfectly on my lap without legs flailing all over the place. So love it while you can Brittany. I'm also very sad that I'm not there to say hello to this little guy. It's times like these that I hate living so far from home.

Eli is getting SO big Carrie. I know it is a bitter sweet feeling when you realize how much your baby has grown and then hearing about so many little babies being born to friends and family . . . that is why we all try to have more and forget all those late nights-

And here I am not even ready to have a baby for a long long time. And Grant is quite the cuty! He's a good mix of Britt and Garrett.

Awwww - we miss you guys!! I'm glad you had a great Sunday - sounds like it was fun. Give my best to Eve - apparently this is the first time she has not gone home when Gary has gone some place - so it's probably a bit nerve racking for her. With friends like you guys, I'm sure she'll be fine!!

Sorry, Lyns. I don't know what to tell you. I'll have to email them to you.
