Okay, so it gets a little scary when the doctor says with a shocked face that WOW your baby's got a big head. By big I mean it is four weeks ahead of the rest of the body in developement! That's what my doctor said yesterday when she did an ultrasound to see how Mr Eli is developing. With diabetes big babies do occur so when I heard this I'm thinking, "okay c-section I think you might be our delivery method." Luckily the doctor had gotten the head at an odd angle so her next measurement of the head was more on schedule and thus more to my liking. It is still kind of funny to think that he would have had a big head. Would that mean he would be a really smart kid? Or would it just indicate that he'd probably fall over more often from being so top heavy? Hee hee. I was really excited to see him again and I had no idea I would be having an ultrasound so it was a fun surprise. However, the only thing I could clearly detect was the top of his head, parts of his ribs and one of his little feet. So, the fact that he's a little squished in there makes it hard to get a good picture of him.
Oh, I've realized that my nick name for Eli, pre birth, is Mr Eli or just plain Mr. I call him that all the time. When he kicks me for the first time in the day I say, "Good morning, Mr." When one end is in my ribs and the other in my kidney I say, "Hey, Mr., move over!" Anyway, I'm just excited to meet my little boy (because the doctor said he's growing right on schedule so he probably won't be an 8-9 pounder, at least not at this point).

How FUN! He probably will be really smart because he's got two smart parents, so it will be in his genes. I hope I get to see you at Christmas so I can see him when he is a little bit small.
