Recently the kids' had their yearly doctor's appointment. All went surprisingly well. Eli did great on his hearing/vision test and it was so cute to watch him shyly follow directions, give the dr a high five when she was really trying to cover his eye for a test, and pick a Hello Kitty sticker out of ALL the other stickers he could have chosen. He was super brave and didn't even cry when he got his three shots. What a trooper.

Eli on his first day of school. Yes, I know he needed a hair cut. |
Anna is growing well. A relief as her growth last check up had slowed and they said she might need supplements if she didn't pick up this checkup. She showed her stuff by walking more in 1 hour than ever before. Of course she does it when I don't have a camera around! It made me want hard wood floors in our apartment and just leave her in her diaper all day. (I think the fact that the floor was cold really motivated her to stay off her hands and knees). She did cry for only about 5 seconds with the 4 shots she got. What a wonderful dr visit!

Anna, Princess for the day! |
The only downside: Both are just shy of being able to move from their current car seats up to the next level. Eli is 1 lb shy of a booster and Anna is 1/2 inch shy of the bigger car seat. I know that we're supposed to keep them rear facing until 2 now, BUT our car is so small, her current car seat BARELY fits. There is NO way a bigger rear facing is going to fit.

I LOVE the photo of Anna wearing the tiara and her face covered in chocolate! Typical girl! So glad your kids are doing good.
Such a cute pic of Anna! I miss those kiddos. Eli was so fun at my birthday dinner.
