The Beginning of a New Beginning,,, Or Another Ending

Phases of Life. They are so anticipated, then feared or met with anxious worrying, then looked on with fond nostalgia. Our family is at the beginning of a new stage... . We will actually be somewhere for some degree of permanence (that is, we don't have a known end in sight). What a weird feeling to be done with school (okay so that was last year) and starting a long term occupation (this year)!

Aaron just completed his last day of work for the non-profit organization he's been volunteering at and will start at his actual job in October. A very exciting time for us. What are our goals for this new phase of life, you might ask? Work work work and Play! Work to pay off student/ personal loans as fast and furious as possible (we already have a plan). Work to be better parents and spouses to each other (a permanent item). Try to expand our family. Enjoy the journey and try not to stress over the little things!

We've felt incredibly blessed in our lives with no major hiccups in schooling and employment. I'm so grateful to be able to stay home with Eli. I still have a lot to learn to become the mommy I want to be, but Eli still loves me despite my shortcomings.

We've found an apartment (a pretty AWESOME apartment) that I think we'll be quite comfortable in. Pictures will come when we move in and get settled.

I am jealous that Aaron gets to go back east for his orientation. I'd so love to go (of course I would probably just drive to DC to visit old friends while he worked).

Anyway, I'm starting to ramble, or at least I think I am so just know that we are a little excited, and a little scared, and a little sad to be starting our new phase and leaving so many good friends behind... again.

that is crazy! You have no end in sight. Sometimes I feel like school will last forever (i'm sure you've felt the same) but then, every once in a while, I realize we will move and then move again to our permanent home. No more moving adventures. Not to say there will be no more adventures, but in a different "settled' sense.
Now you've got me rambling... Let just say, I understand what your saying.
Hope you have fun in London!

I am so anxious to see pictures of your new apartment! I really want to come visit you! Good luck with this new phase, you guys will do awesome as always. You are so social and I am so jealous of that about you. You make friends so easily. I hope moving goes uneventful and as planned. Have fun in London and stay safe!!! Love you guys!

Enjoy this new phase. And I'm jealous that you have a plan for paying off your student loans. Our plan is probably going to be "Megan works some shifts to pay off the student loans"

But that's what happens when you are looking at 50 to 70K a year and over a 100K in debt. Oh well after a few years of experience life will be good.

Hooray! We feel the same about Brooklyn. It's nice to know you'll be living in the same place for longer than just a little while. :)
