Oh that poor jerk

This is a double post day. Please see below.

In "Two Weeks Notice" Hugh Grant leaves Sandra Bullocks Volvo in the middle of a backed up freeway to help save her from the forces of nature. Sadly, during his considerate rescue, the traffic starts moving and the unattended car becomes a blockade keeping EVERYONE from moving. In passing, the RV driver says "That Poor Jerk"

Today, I was "that poor jerk". I didn't single handedly cause a traffic jamb on I-80, but I did clog up Costco's gasoline service station.

The situation: Me outside, keys inside, doors locked

exacerbater: Aaron not answering his phone

solution: AAA (thanks Aaron's dad and mom), a really nice and understanding gas station attendent, an hour wait, and a handy dandy road side assistance man.

As I sat there waiting for AAA I was the jerk who wouldn't move the car. One person even asked the attendant if the car could be pushed. Yes, it could, if we could get the keys from the inside, but then, we wouldn't be in this situation.

Well, it's over and I bought myself a turtle candy bar to say good riddance to bad days and thank goodness for AAA.

Hahahahaha! Oh Carrie! I wish I could have been there to see your face. That would have been priceless! I'm so sorry that happened to you...but also glad because it ended up with that halarious post that had me giggling. Thank heavens for AAA! They are a lifesaver! I've had to use them before too. I locked my keys in my car three times in one week about four years ago. However, I didn't end up causing any type of traffic jam! :)

I am so sorry that that happened. I do remember that a period of time in high school or just after you graduated when you locked your keys in your car several times in a period of a couple weeks.

Way to treat yourself after a frustrating situation.

haha ha! So sorry! If it makes you feel better, there is construction on a 50 speed main road by us, and because of it I didn't realize I was stopped at a green light. There were TONS of honks and I was totally oblivious it was due to me. Felt pretty stupid keeping them through a whole green light. At least the attendant was really nice! :-)

Oh, I hate when I do things like that! Sounds like you handled it well, though! At least Eli wasn't inside! So lovely to see you a few weeks ago!
