I know that every parent is incredibly biased towards their own children, but there are times when kids do undeniably cute things. Here are the latest reasons why Eli is the cutest baby in my eyes...

Eli has a silly phobia for sand. Last week, while at a park with sand as the ground cover, Eli tripped and fell forward. He didn't cry, but he did lie there with his back arched to keep his head as far from the sand as possible and his hands were reaching behind him. It was the classic sky diver look and was pretty hilarious. He just sat like that until I cam and put him upright. I'm hoping to catch it on camera sometime. Wanna go to the beach anyone?

Yesterday, Aaron had a stake priesthood meeting. Before he left he was changing back into his Sunday clothes. Eli saw this and realized Daddy was leaving. He grabbed his button up shirt and his own Sunday tie and brought them to Aaron and I to put on him. We obliged with the shirt, but Aaron was running late so he had to go. Eli was so devastated that he could not go with Daddy. It was so cute, yet so sad. I love my little boy and hope that he still wants to go to priesthood meetings when he's old enough to go. I do love the fact that he loves his Sunday clothes and will often want to wear his tie clipped to his T-shirts.

Today we went to the park and Eli went CRAZY over the ducks. He did amazing at sharing the bread with them and only ate about 1/3 of the bread for himself. He chased the ducks around the park and didn't even get too scared when a goose nipped his finger thinking he had bread in his hand. Luckily it did teach him to be careful not to stick his finger within biting distance of any more geese. Eli also loves slides and will often go down and then say "WEE" as he's running around to go again.

I love this sweet boy!

Our boys are related! Jed loves to wear ties, too. I've collected a whole drawer-full and let him wear them whenever he likes. They are especially helpful when he throws a fit and wants to wear a bow like Mom and Zoe -- I remind him that girls wear bows on their heads and boys wear them around their necks! Then I let him pick out a tie and he feels better. Usually. Sometimes I still end up letting him wear the green bow in his hair but only in the house and car, never outside. And NEVER when dad is around. ;)

That is SO funny about the sand. I hope you are able to catch it on camera sometime so that you can show to him when he's older. I can't believe how big he is getting. I really wish you lived closer. I wish we could come visit you! We need to hang out a lot when you come for the 4th. Hopefully you will be town longer than a couple days!!
