Christmas in Canada

When you know you won't have a white Christmas, go north.

That's what we did. We went WAY north to Aaron's parent's house. Granted it is not as north as we would usually go, before Aaron's parents moved, but I won't begrudge the shorter drive.

Eli did exceptionally well on the drive. We stopped at my parents' home for a few days before heading up to Canada. Eli loves his extended family and the infamous beagle, Sunny. I loved seeing my family again too. I don't know if I'll ever get too sick of those characters! Good thing too 'cause we're stuck together for eternity!

Canada was everything it promises in the winter, cold and snowy. We loved it though. We hung out with Aaron's parents, his Grandma and his aunt. We were all spoiled with love, food and gifts. Eli was taken sledding for the first time

On the 23 we wentto see a live nativity and this is how we all looked.

Eli was still really cold so Aaron and I sat with him in the car most of the time.

We were all spoiled with gifts and love. Eli especially loved the huge stuffed dog he got from Grandma and Grandpa.

New Year's eve, we had a great dinner with Crackers. Those are a party toy wrapper you break apart and it "cracks" . Inside is a paper crown and a little toy. I got a mini gel pen.

I had written more, but it didn't save for some reason and so sorry that I don't have time to go into more detail.

He looks so adorable all bundled up! Sledding sounds like it must have been a lot of fun. Family are "must haves" for Christmas. We are glad you had so much fun and especially glad Eli was so good during driving.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas. I've only been to Canada once, and it wasn't into the heart of Canada either :). I'm hoping to be able to go again someday. Eli looks adorable all bundled up! He's such a cute kid!
