I wanted to write a blog when Eli turned 8 months, but things were busy and then our computer broke so I have not been able to upload any new pictures of our little guy. I will do my best with words though ;)
Eli, our precious angel is getting so big and his personality is hilarious! He has always been a smiley baby and gladly that hasn't changed with his growth. However; along with the smiles are some very forceful sounds as well. He's not afraid to "yell" at random things and the noises he makes when you aren't feeding him fast enough are uncanny. He likes to talk to himself (or to some friend I can't see) and he will definitely say "da da" first. I don't think in all his babbling that anything resembling "ma ma" has ever come out :(.
Eli's favorite foods are: Mommy's milk, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce, and sometimes green beans. He's very very keen on getting into those Nutrigrain bars though!
Eli's method of transportation: His preferred is crawling, but he has just this week started pulling himself to a standing position. A walker seems appropriate but do I really want a baby walking around so soon? He has no fear and I am surprised this kid hasn't gotten a huge goose egg on his head yet.
Eli's favorite toy(s): He would play with the power cords all day. We've tried to hide the cords but I'm pulling him out from behind the TV center and the computer way too often. He also LOVES blankets and will roll around in them and eat them. It's really entertaining to watch!
Eli's favorite game: too many... He really likes "Where's the mouse" when I run my fingers up his back and tickle his chin. He also loves to crawl all over Aaron and I.
Eli's favorite song: He gets big grins when I sing Zip a dee doo dah or Bushel and a Peck. For dancing he loves the credit song for Gilmore Girls. It's hilarious when an episode finishes and the music comes on. Eli crawls as close to the TV as he can get and starts squeeling and bouncing! Lately he's also really started enjoying Old McDonald.
Eli is now in the separation anxiety stage. He's very possessive of Aaron and I. It's sweet, but sometimes problematic. Luckily he'll still let other people hold him without crying.
Our family Mug. So my little sister had the nick name "muggette" when she was little because she made so many faces. If I could give Eli a nick name it would be "Mug". The other day, he was making the fish face! What child at 8 1/2 months makes a fish face? Mine does (not that he knows it's the fish face)! He also has those mischivous eyes. If Aaron wasn't so mischivous himself I would blame my dad for it, but I think it comes from both sides.
That's our little Eli. wish I had pics to go along. Sorry
...and We're Back!

What fun characteristics! He sounds like he's going to be a really funny, and super fun kid to continue to have around as he gets older!
