For Thanksgiving we had a small family dinner. Don't worry, by small I refer to the number of people attending . . . 3 (only two that were eating), there was still tonz of food! It was my first experience cooking a turkey and Aaron's first experience carving a turkey. Leave it up to new experiences to remind you what things you need. We don't own a carving knife so Aaron had a pretty interesting time with that turkey. Good thing we didn't need it to look good for guests! I forgot to get a picture of that turkey! Darn!!

Eli's Thanksgiving dinner came after ours! He is one sloppy eater and has milk all over his face after every meal. I tried to capture that in this picture but it didn't work. Anyway, we all got fat and happy.
The Monday after Thanksgiving was Christmas Tree day. I made myself the promise that I wouldn't put up Christmas decorations until after I cleaned the apartment. The apartment was clean in a record two days! So up went the tree, the car radio is programed to the all Christmas station, CD's are out and I'm pumped up for the season!
Some family events will have happened by the end of the season.
First, yesterday my little brother Taylor entered the MTC to become a missionary in Croatia for two years! He is so handsome! (I stole the pic from my sister's blog). I know he's going to be an awesome missionary! One of my favorite things about life and family is that you can watch them blossom and grow! You get to see their spiritual gifts develop and their testimonies strengthen. Taylor is truly one of the best people I know. He is good to the core and has the kindest heart! I love him so so much and will miss him while he's gone, but I know that he needs to bless other's lives and not just our family's.

The next event is Lynsie and Mike's wedding! I love these two together. Really, if I was to be convinced that there is a One and Only, this would be the couple to do that. It's really eerie sometimes how well they are matched (hee hee Lynz). Anyway, I'm so excited for Mike to be an official member of our family! Then the teasing really begins because we're not afraid of scaring him away ;)
Christmas will be in Utah this year! I'm really excited to be with family, BUT I'm also really nervous about traveling with a baby and with Aaron. I'm sorry but Aaron has the worst luck with flying. Flight's are always getting delayed, missed, or cancelled and it's a miracle if they don't lose his luggage. So I'm wondering how prepared I need to be if his bad luck affects our travel this Christmas. Maybe I should fly out before him ;)
I'm excited to be able to introduce our little Eli to the rest of the family who hasn't met him. I was getting pretty sad thinking that he wouldn't meet some of his aunts and uncles until he was over one! Luckily we'll get all of those bases covered this Christmas.
There is other news but I have to wait for permission before the big reveals! I hope that you are all pepped up for this Christmas!
