A Quick Breath and Our Wonderful News

Well, I have a little time for a breath of air. I wish it were more, but I didn't do as well as I was hoping on my test and so have to retake it. Life throws us curve balls sometimes, doesn't it. At least I didn't do horribly.

Well, with as horrible my evening was yesterday, there was a wonderful part to it as well. We got to see our baby again! It was moving around like a trapeze artist! However, we did get a good look and we are having a little BOY!!! It's so exciting to know for sure! When I had my nuchal test, the ultra sound tech said she thought it was a boy but it wasn't for certain. So we held off telling anyone until it was confirmed. He was dancing around in there, it's amazing I still haven't felt him yet! Everything looks good and he's growing right on schedule! As you see, he already loves mommy and daddy as he gives us a wave!

He gave us some good shots of his teeny feet but was moving so fast that we couldn't get a good picture. They were so so cute though. You can bet there'll be a lot of prints of his little feet when he comes. Here is a profile of his little face. I think it looks more like a little boy Aaron's profile than a little boy Armstrong profile. I hope he gets the Armstrong cheeks, but Aaron says if he gets my cheeks and his ears our baby will look more like a monkey than a baby!!

So even though these next few weeks are quite stressful for me as I try to finish this internship above water, there is joy in the midst. It's amazing how Heavenly Father can give us a bit of heaven in the midst of trials. That's why I love this gospel. I know that Heavenly Father wants me to succeed in my education and if I do my part, I know he'll help me make up the rest and get through this last leg of my formal education.

Oh, as for names. We are going to name our little man Eli Nelson. We each have our reasons for Eli. Aaron hasn't told me the whole story about why he does, but I like it because it's a biblical name that means 'my god' much like Joshua also means Jehovah. Nelson is a tradition on Aaron's side of the family.

Hooray for baby boys! My brother and his wife just found out they're having a boy, too. Boys all around! They're the best, though... although I suppose I may be biased. :) Now you REALLY can't move away from this side of the country until we get introduce Garrett and your forthcoming little boy. Maybe next winter/spring?
