Medieval Times

Last night we went on our first date night in a long time. It's been difficult with school and me being sick half the time. Anyway, we went with some friends in our ward to Medieval Times! It was so much fun!!

I have to build up by telling about the rest of the d
ay first. I know, you already got some from my yesterday's blog, but too bad! I had another prenatal appointment yesterday. They are such short visits, I wish every doctors appointment was that fast. I give my monthly sample, get weighed, listen to the heart beat, get blood drawn if they need it, am asked if I have any questions, then sent on my way! Wow. Well, I'm not too distressed about my weight gain. It's not excessive nor too little. I was worried because everyone has been asking if I've felt the baby yet. I don't know. Maybe. Then, yesterday I found out where the uterus actually is and where the baby is (I know, I should already know, but when your belly sticks out a lot farther up than where the baby actually sits, it's a little deceiving. So, no I haven't felt the baby. Any movement I've felt as truly been digestive movement now that my intestines are now pushed up and out. Good thing my diaphram is giving my lungs some protection. Breathing is hard enough as it is without the intestines get pushed up and around the lungs! Anyway, baby's heartbeat is good and a lot stronger than the last time. Grow baby grow!!

Well, because my belly is protruding even more than before, I've finally had to give in and buy more maternity pants. I'm focusing on capris and such. I only have four more weeks of work and the clothes my friend lent me will last me through that. So, before going to our date, we went shopping at Old Navy. Luckily I found some items on clearance. I feel so bad that having a baby (especially the first) requires a whole new wardrobe for mommy as well as all the baby stuff.

Oh the Medieval Times. It was so much fun!! Gretchen and Erick had been there before so they filled us in on all the goods. When you arrive, they separate you into different colors for the different knights. We happened to get green which is always the one everyone hates (he's supposedly the bad guy). The story line is different every time, I guess because sometimes the green knight is falsely accused of evilness. The food was great. They gave me a half a chicken to eat!! Even though you don't get silverware, they still give you to go boxes. So I'll be eating my chicken for left overs today. The show was awesome. Aaron wasn't sure if they had real horses or not. Sure enough they did and they were very pretty and did some cool tricks. They also had a falconer and you just can't not be in awe of those beautiful birds. The knight games were cool too. The lances shattered and everything! It reminded me of a knights tale and I wanted to watch it when we got home! Anyway, we had banners and were cheering for our green knight. He was a tough cookie, but turned out to be the villan after all. It was such a fun night! Thanks for coming with us Gretchen and Erick!
