Aaron and I are both winding down the semester of school! Oh, what a semester!! Let's just say, I hope I handle my next class better than I did this one. Life is good though! We are trying to get ready for Christmas. Buying plane tickets and trying to get insider information about what people want for gifts. The high light of our week will have been our participation in the live nativity that the DC temple puts on every year. Aaron and I got to play Mary and Joseph. It was an absolutely amazing experience. It made me think of a few things. As holy as the birth of Christ was, the feeling that overwhelmed me most was how happy Mary must have been to have this little child! I couldn't help but smile ear to ear when I tried to look at the baby as a mother (I don't have any personal experience). It was a great experience and I really wouldn't mind being asked again.
It was cold out so we felt pretty bulky in our costumes, but from the pictures it didn't look bad. In one of the pictures, Aaron's beard is falling off! I'm just glad it didn't come completely off a half hour earlier.
Merry Christmas to you all.

You make a beautiful Mary and Joseph, how fun! I have always wanted to play Mary-I did when I was about 3 or 4 with my cousins-it was a much coveted part in the family nativity, can't wait until we can do that with our little ones.
We are excited to see you guys for Christmas-or at least before Christmas.
love ya
I also remember playing the angel and having to keep my arms extended through the whole thing while I was dying to use the bathroom-I can't remember if I made it through that one, probably not.
What an awesome experience!
Well done, guys! We ended up going to the temple on Saturday night and it was frigidly cold. I thought of you guys having to brave the elements the next night. I'm glad you survived!
Arron your beard is coming off. pretty funny. That is pretty cool though being marie and joseph.
Ah, that brings back memories. When I was little and we lived by DC, my dad was a wise man and I remember going to see him and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.
