I know it's been a while but there was really nothing new to report. Just school and work and trying to keep up with house work and church callings. Well, today has provided a few new items to post. First it was my brother's birthday and Aaron's sister's birthday today! Yeah. It makes it real easy to remember in law's birthdays when they fall on the same day as one of your siblings.
I had to work today. Sad to have to work on a Sunday, I know. It was a long shift too, but there was a lot to do so it went by quickly. The new food system was started today and as all new systems, there was a few kinks to fix. Over all, it went very well, though. Tomorrow will be another long day and then, finally, after a seven day straight work week, I'll get a day off to recoup.
Most exciting of all in our mundane week, after a long sabbatical, another episode in "Mouse Wars!!" duh duh duh!! It happened just ten minutes ago while I was relaxing after my hard, long day. A mouse ran from nowhere under our TV center. Now this hiding place is Aaron and I's best bet to being able to catch the mouse. This gave us hope. Once again I had to tell Aaron that I was not confident in any ability I had to catch the mouse or lift up the TV center. Once again he lifted it up and the mouse ran from under it into the closet by the door. This provided a better place for us too because we were able to guard the exits easily. After tearing apart our closet and after some screams and very handy broom swats, we caught it under a box!! YES. . . VICTORY. . . wait. . . what do we do with it now? We can't just leave it in the box and you are kidding if you think I'm going to risk its escaping by lifting that box. So, What did we do? Well, we had a big piece of card board that we slid underneath it. Then we thought that we should just put it out of its life, but again, I was not going to lift that box from the card board. Well, we ended up putting the whole ensemble in a big garbage bag and shaking the box really hard. I don't know if it killed it, but it didn't jump out. Aaron threw it away after that. Whew, one mouse down! How many more are there? So that's 5 mice to us and many many escapes to the mice. Who's keeping score though, really?
