School Days

Do you remember how easy grade school was? Yesterday night I was listening to some of the young women complain about school and the difficulty of classes. Man, I wish school was that easy in college! Oh those good old days where homework took an hour or two instead of all weekend long. I started my food systems management rotation for my internship. I feel a little better after my first day, but it's going to be a LOT of work. No wonder food service directors have the highest burnout rate of all dietetics professionals! Anyway, I think I will have fun with it. The problem will be balancing that with all the rest of my obligations.

Well, my birthday was last Saturday and it was a fun birthday! Aaron surprised me with my gifts which included three movies (The Mummy, Pride and Prejudice, and You've Got Mail), a book binding book, and head phones so I can play my key board late at night without bothering anyone. I got some very cute clothes from my mom and Lynsie got me two of my favorite books by Shannon Hale.
We tried to get the Children's Hymns on CD but they only had the music without words. So we are going to wait. Did you know that the Children's Hymns in Spanish have both types in the CD set (music only AND music with words)? I think they should do that with the English too. Anyway, later that evening, we went over to our friend's house where Casey decided she wanted to throw a birthday party. It was really fun and she is a great entertainer! We spent most of the time playing with the kids and talking with is good enough for me. Aaron and I are getting really baby hungry and it's been so fun watching the little kids in our ward!
After the party was the Relief Society broadcast. So I went to that and then I went home to take a quiz for school! It doesn't sound like much of a birthday, but I felt pretty special!
Aaron, poor guy (or spoiled guy; depending how you look at it) is flying all over the country to interview with firms for next summer. It's really neat that he gets to go all these places, but getting him to and from the airports is crazy. It's really weird having three airports within an hour and a half of each other because you never know which one they'll fly you out of.
That's our update. School and interviews. I really don't know what I'd do without Aaron. I can get so stressed and I just need a big hug. Really, I don't remember hugging a lot when I was stressed before and I don't know how I handled it. I think there was a study done about stress relief and they found that hugging reduced stress faster than other methods. I guess once you've found the best method, other methods just don't work the same. At least that's the way it seems with me. I love hugs!

This has nothing to do with your post, but according to your sitemeter, this visit from me was you 1000th visit. Do I get a prize? :)

Also, thanks, by the way, for your reply about my keyboard question. I now have a direction to start looking in. :)

Hmm, what should the prize be for being the 1000th visitor? I don't know. Hey how about we make it ice cream or something. Of course that would in tale Aaron and I to come and visit. This is fine with me. We just learned that it only takes about 2-3.5 hours to get there by train! We'll have to plan a date!
